Introduction: Wall Led Lamp

About: I build thing for fun. Mostly with the laser cutter since I'm pretty clumsy.

This lamp is constitued by two aluminium C shaped channels with a led strip lamp inside.
I hanged it on the wall, using two hooks that were fixed by former inhabitants.

Step 1: Piercing the Aluminium Channel

I drilled two holes to hang the lamp on the hooks.

Step 2: Cutting C Shaped Spacers

I was planning to glue the two channels back to back but my led strip wasn't flexible enough.

I decided to cut some pieces of the channels as spacers. Their length is equal to the width of the channel (more or less, I'm not very precise with a saw).

Step 3: Glueing the Channels

I used epoxi glue to fix the parts together. It was my first test of this kind of glue and I wouldn't choose that option again. It's not as strong I believed. Small screw and nuts Would be better I guess.

Step 4: Glueing (or Not) the Led Strip

Same disapointment with the glue and the led strip. It didn't worked very well.

I drill holes on the back side of the lamp and sticked wooden picks to hold the strip in place as a backup solution.

Step 5: Mehr Licht

Here's the result. The cable is hidden behind the curtain.

The room was lacking light on this side and I wanted indirect lighting.

This project could be simpler without the use of epoxi glue.
